kat sini saya hanya mahu menceritakan serba sedikit tentang 2 era FLW sahaja iaitu era
a) Prairie styles b)Japanese influence...mungkin akan masukkan serba sedikit about of her great work..

(A) Prairie styles
mean = translation of the horizontal of the prairie and vercertically of the trees.
-the use of horizontal planes
-number of parts to be minimized to produce a unity
-the house was raised on a platform
-the minimum use of materials
-rooms as boxed to be replaced by spaces created through the use of screens and panels.
-light screen windows to replace rectangular window holes in walls
-terraces extending out of the house
-low roof planes
-furnishing matches the architectural features of the building in keeping with the building
-no fashionable decorators to be employed
-ribbon windows
-a fire place or the central core was treated as a heart of the house (negara iklim sejuk sahaja ok,malaysia no3x)

(B) Japenese infeluences
building reference = imperial hotel, tokyo, japan
building description :
-used of floating foundation
-consisted of grouped tapering concrete supports, continuous concrete floors to above floated on a varying height base
-exterior/interior was ornamented with Japanese and pre-columbian overtones
-the rough surface of lava stone was carved into abstract geometric forms.
(bangunan ini dibina di atas kawasan gempa bumi, mengikut maklumat semasa belajar dahulu dikatakan bahawa bangunan ini tidak runtuh dengan teknik penciptaan rekabentuk bangunan FLW tetapi hakikatnya bangunan ini turut rosak dalam kejadian gempa bumi 1923 tetapi rekabentuk tersebut membantu dalam mengurangkan bangunan tersebut runtuh dengan teruk-berikut adalah serba sedikit keterangannya berdasarkan laman wikipedia)

-bangunan asalnya dibina tahun 1890 tetapi telah terbakar oleh insiden tahun 1919
-bangunan baru dibina tahun 1915-1923 (frank llyod wright sebagai perekabentuknya)
-bangunan direkabentuk dengan senibina -maya revival style-
-bangunan tinggi, pyramid like structure, hiasan dekorasi bermotifkan maya styles
-bahan utama bangunan terdiri dpd konkrit, blok konkit dan batu oya yang berukir

(menurut cerita faktor kegagalan bangunan tersebut adalah asasnya.sepatutnya seperti yang dirancang asas bangunan tersebut akan terapung di atas tapak lumpur semasa berlakunya gempa bumi, dan bergerak mengikut  alun gempa bumi, tetapi semasa kejadian asas tersebut did nothing to prevent the damages)

tapi terdapat juga beberapa ciri rekabentuk bangunan tersebut yang menghalang kerosakan lebih teruk lagi :
-air di dalam kolam yang dibina bertindak sebagai pencegah kebakaran
-cantilevered floors and balconies provided extra support for the floors
-a cooper roof eliminated the risk of failing debris created by the trad. tile roofs
-suspended piping and wiring, instead of being encased in concrete, as well as smooth curves, making them more resistant to fracture
-tapered walls, thicker on lower floors, increasing their strength.
